Beep Donation to Her Majesty’s Prison at Dodds, Barbados

September 1, 2021. Bridgetown, Barbados – McBride (Caribbean) Limited remains committed to the manufacture of disinfectant products to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

To this end, the company continues to make significant donations to key agencies and institutions in Barbados to ensure the health and safety of their employees, the latest being Her Majesty’s Prisons (HMP) at Dodds.

Earlier this week, Sales and Marketing Manager Shari Green presented sanitization products including Beep automatic hand sanitizer wall-mounted dispensers, liquid hand sanitizer, disinfectant spray and travel size disinfectant spray to the senior management of the Prison.

“The donation is to help safeguard the prison population against the highly transmissible Delta variant of the COVID-19 coronavirus detected in Barbados and beginning to spread among local communities,” Green stated.

She added, “the safety of inmates, wardens, staff and their families are paramount. As a local manufacturing company and a subsidiary of Goddard Enterprises, celebrating its centennial, McBride is pleased to make this further contribution to assist in the nation’s fight against COVID-19.”

Superintendent of HMP Dodds, Colonel John Nurse said the management and staff of the prison were very appreciative of the donation from McBride since it would go a long way in the fight against COVID-19 at the prison.

Prison Officer I and Health and Safety Officer, Wayne Yearwood noted that the donation was very timely since the prison uses a considerable number of disposable face masks weekly and a large volume of sanitizer to disinfect the facility daily.

The Prison management is hoping that other private sector companies will come on board to assist the HMP Dodds in this regard.

Beep Donates More than BDS$10,000 to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital

September 1, 2021. Bridgetown, Barbados. Ongoing efforts to ensure that the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) remains highly sanitized got a further boost following the donation of more than BDS$10,000 worth in sanitization products to the hospital.

McBride (Caribbean) Limited recently made the presentation of Beep hand sanitizer and disinfectant spray products to QEH officials.

Sales and Marketing Manager for McBride, Shari Green noted that as the Delta variant of the coronavirus spreads across the island, the management of McBride and Hanschell Inniss Limited agreed that a joint donation of Beep products to the QEH was in the country’s best interest.

“We cannot overemphasize our appreciation of the dedication of the doctors, nurses and support staff and the efforts of the Ministry of Health to contain the spread of COVID-19. It is critical at this time for members of the private sector to support and reinforce the public healthcare system however we can contribute as Barbados enters the third wave of the pandemic,” she said.

In accepting the donation, Acting Director of the Support Services at the QEH, Andrea Lashley expressed deep appreciation on behalf of the management and staff of the QEH to McBride and Hanschell Inniss, noting that it would go a long way in helping to protect staff and patients of the hospital from COVID-19.

“Contributions from the private sector are very welcome as operating the hospital requires a substantial number of resources [financial and non-financial]. This donation is very timely as the management of the QEH works to set up additional isolation facilities across the island to meet the increased demand for specialized healthcare because of the current surge in COVID-19,” Lashley said.

She added that the staff of the QEH would be especially delighted to receive individual Beep Travel Size Disinfectant Spray and Liquid Hand Sanitizer products for their own personal use.

This presentation is one of many McBride (Caribbean) have made in recent months to support key local agencies and organizations in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
